A renovated private house combining two pre-existing apartments

This private house has been renovated by the design studio One Farm Design. Combining two pre-existing apartments, it has given rise to a single attic. Served by an elevator that arrives directly in the entrance, equipped with iconic design pieces as Fornasetti dishes. The apartment obtained consists in an open space for the living area, a laundry, the study, three bathrooms and the sleeping area. The 160 square meters that compose the attic are harmonized by light colors, a stylistic choice taken in every room of the house. A clear example is the bleached Hungarian plug floor. Giulia Ramina, designer and co-founder of One Farm Design, took care of the choice of materials for the realization of the floor, viewing different samples to get to the perfect shade of gray. The attic has a retro appearance but the choice of furnishing accessories is interpreted in a modern way. One Farm Design took care of all aspects of the renovation of the attic. From the design and division of spaces, to the choice of finishes. From the lighting project, to custom-made furniture, to the choice of accessories, such as curtains.

CONCEPT

An important detail is the design of kitchen, made by local artisans. The shelves and the workspace counter are clad in thin porcelain stoneware, chosen finish is made grey pietra serena. The central island is instead made with a porcelain stoneware with Calacatta marble finish. For the kitchen environments, a resistant and high quality material has been chosen, while maintaining the harmony of the colors of the entire apartment and the refined style that distinguishes it. An element of liveliness that acts as a carpet are the oak tiles with colored digital print on the floor in front of kitchen, made by local company Bassano Parquet.

PROCESS

The realization of the entire apartment, with the a complete artistic direction from the studio, took only one year to move from the project to the finished house. Attention on details are well represented by the high-quality furnishing accessories, such as the Bonaldo sofa and the Miniforms table and chairs. The bespoke walk-in closet has been designed according to customer requirements. Always style is combined with technology. In fact, we equipped the attic with a controlled WMC hydraulic ventilation system, underfloor heating and a home automation system.
